My Personal Telescope - Article Taken From The Raleigh Times - 1970

It took me 3 years to build the scope, including grinding the optics and

building the mountings. Mostly the time was taken with the optics and

saving up enough money to buy the raw materials and parts. I began the

project in 1967 at age 10 and finally finished it in 1970 at age 13. The scope is an 8" f4 Newtonian reflector. I never really use it anymore.
